How to create a simple baby book

Babies. They grow up so fast that you almost need to photograph them every day to capture those minute changes.
You’re uploading their photos across social media, but is that really the best place to keep your wonderful memories? Social media platforms come and go (remember MySpace?), but in years to come you’ll want to flick through your photos and remember the time your now grown-up teenager could barely fill out their onesie.
Don’t those photographs deserve an album all their own?
And while you may have all intentions to create a styled scrapbook of photos and memories, the reality is there’s very little time to actually get that done when you bring your newborn home.
This is even more important when you get to baby number two (or three, or more). You have even less time to sit down and put together an elaborately styled baby book. Instead, you need something you can stick in, write on and then go clean up the mess the kiddos made with dinner.
A simple baby book is the perfect way to capture those memories, while being as easy-as-possible to put together. And what we love most about a baby book is, just like your baby, your book is a story being told as each day goes past.
To get started with your own baby book, you’ll first want to find a simple yet beautiful baby book. We love this one from Rhi Creative, but there are plenty of well-designed baby books to suit your style.
Then download the Pocket Prints app. Set yourself a reminder in your phone to order new prints every month (because we know how time flies when you’ve got a newborn). It’s so easy to order prints from Pocket Prints that you can do it from the comfort of the couch while bubba naps on top of you.
Every month upload all the recent photos of your little one. Using the Pocket Prints app you’ll be able to upload all those photos that didn’t make it to social media too (because as cute as your baby is, you know your friends don’t appreciate 50+ photos in their feed at once).
Even if not all your photos end up in the baby book, you can frame them and keep them around the house, or even send off to grandparents, aunts/uncles and anyone else who’d appreciate a short little update on how your baby is going.
Once your photos arrive (which should take only a few days), add them into your baby book along with a short note on that particular moment. Doing this monthly means those memories will be fresher in your mind (rather than trying to think back to six months ago).
And if you select the photo sticker option, it’s even easier to put your baby book together. Just peel, stick, write and go.
You’ll be so pleased in years to come that you did this.
